Week 2

Wednesday, 9/5
There were plenty of items that you had to bring in to class today which would show me how interested you are in doing well in this class.  The number of students who brought everything was not as high as I was expecting.  On another note, today's in-class diagnostic will be used as a baseline to identify your strong areas and those that need improvement.  By being aware of those competencies, both you and I can work together to build those skills for college success.

Friday, 9/7
All in 25 minutes! This morning was a bit rushed, but I think it was productive. We first reviewed what we have covered in the past two weeks.  Then, we were able to form new groups and share our annotations we took on the article, "What's Your Workout? A Food Star's Fitness Plan".  Quickly afterwards, we reviewed the vocabulary book, Introduction and Chapter 1.  Together, we pronounced and reviewed the words in Chapter 1. We then took a brisk walk to the reading lab where Sharokina was patiently waiting for our arrival.  She guided us through setting up an account on Townsend Press which you need for the technology portion of the reading lab component. For your homework assignment, please refer to our class's calendar.
