This week Chapter 3 in Engage (topic and main idea) continues to be reviewed. The Cornell Notes became the study guide for Monday's quiz. The quiz will be reviewed as well as the vocabulary quiz for Chapter 4.
With the introduction of Chapter 4 in Engage which focuses on Supporting Details and Patterns of Organization, the topic of identifying topic sentences continues to be practiced and reviewed. In order to really capture the idea of patterns of organization and fully understand it, knowing and identifying the related transitional words is imperative.
